El gobierno de España mantiene la alertar por la intensa ola de frio azota ese país, el Ministro del Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, indicó que continúa la alerta emitida por las extremas temperaturas.
Hizo un llamada a la población española a que actúe con precaución y evite cualquier desplazamiento que no se estrictamente impresindible. Puntualizó que hay 527 carreteras afectadas por hielo y nieve, 113 vías cerradas, y 128 donde es obligatorio el uso de cadenas.
De acuerdo al diario El País, Rubén del Campo, portavoz de la Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (Aemet), considera que podría haber sido la noche más gélida en todo el país al menos en 20 años, desde la ola de frío de 2001.
